Everything Is Advertising – Especially Your Website

Does perceived value build brand equity online?

biz-lunch

When I was 18 and working in a mailroom, a senior partner told me, “Don’t brown bag your lunch.” What he meant was that if I wanted to climb the ladder, I needed to start by putting myself out there and appearing successful. In other words, I needed to advertise myself. As I’ve come to learn, everything you do to grow your business, and grow yourself, is advertising, and we’re … Continue reading →

Blueprint for a Successful Homepage

Your homepage is the first thing your prospective clients see. Make the impression count.

Throughout, … Continue reading →

Share Your Expertise And Gain More Leads

Giving away your expertise online will only increase the value of your services.

They say if you do something well you should never do it for free, but that doesn’t mean you can’t tell other people how you do it. Think of the celebrity chef that publishes his recipes in cookbooks: you don’t see a competitor serving up the same dishes across the street the next week, nor does that mean everyone is staying home on Friday night trying to cook foie gras. … Continue reading →

Your Blog Is Your Campsite

The first step? Pitch your tent.

Social media provide a powerful new way to meet people, start conversations, and do business – if you know what you’re doing. Think of your blog as your campsite – the first thing you set up when your plan is to conquer the vast and unforgiving wilderness of the Web. Stake out your territory and pitch your tent as soon as possible. The point is to own that space and … Continue reading →
